I just learned something very troubling, or should I say very infuriating last Thursday. I was told by very reliable sources - mainly citizens association and district authorities - that construction contractors, to cut cost as much as possible, send truckloads of leftovers and waste products from construction sites on the South Shore of Montreal, over the bridge into Sainte-Marie Saint-Jacques district where they dump their load and go back, unpunished.
So, not only do people in the 'burbs feed the prostitution circles (male or female) by coming over the bridge to get their sex fix - i have statistics to back this up - , not only do they come in their cars and choke us with their toxic fumes and annoy us with their rude behaviour, they even dump their garbage in our front yards and don't get punished for it.
I tell ya, it's really getting to be time to install a toll ring around Montreal...
